ACCOMMODATIONS

Separate cabins of hewn log construction located within fifty feet of the shoreline. Each cabin is comfortably furnished and each is complete with full bath. All meals are served family style in the main lodge dining room with a commanding view of the lake and surrounding hillsides. Our food, facilities and accommodations leave nothing to be desired in the way of quality, convenience and comfort. The main lodge also consists of a game room which boasts of a well stocked library, a fireplace that will burn a four foot piece of wood and a self service bar (bring your own). Here you will find an atmosphere of an honest to goodness sporting camp in the Maine tradition.

FISHING

Here on the lake, nearby pond or stream even the uninitiated can enjoy an exciting day's fishing for our native game fish of Landlocked Salmon, Brook Trout and Lake Trout. Our waters are susceptible to the fly fisherman, the spincaster, and the troller. Aside from the lake we have a number of isolated back ponds in our immediate area that are accessible by a short hike. There the brook trout reigns supreme.
The only thing that may disturb your fishing here in the northwoods might be the cry of a loon, a beaver swimming by, or maybe a moose or deer feeding in the shallows. Cameras should be kept ready and loaded at all times. Fishing season starts at iceout usually by the 10th of May and lasts through Sept. 30. Tackle and nonresident licenses are available at the lodge.

VACATION

All the ingredients for an enjoyable summer vacation for the entire family are to be found here at Moose Point. Ideal weather with warm days and cool nights, clean fresh air and water temperatures ideal for water sports.

Summer activities include fishing, swimming, canoeing, cookouts, hiking, archery and a variety of indoor and outdoor games to interest all ages.

Last but far from least our countless varieties of birds, wildlife and wild flowers afford the amateur and professional alike a first hand opportunity to photograph or observe species in their natural setting.

HUNTING

Moose Point Camps offer excellent hunting for whitetail deer, bear and small game as we are located in the heart of one of the last true wilderness areas in the east. Past and present lumbering operations have benefited the deer population and their condition so that the hunter's chances of shooting a deer or a bear are better than average here. We have many well spotted trails and logging roads that enable guests to hunt safely and with ease. Here you may hunt all day long without ever sighting another hunter. Methods most productively used are "still" hunting or taking a "stand".
